The Elephant Man
Goes To Space

The Elephant Man Goes To Space is a collaborative project with STONE ISLAND in 2019. This project drew inspiration from the life of the Elephant Man, a severely deformed man born in Victorian-era London.

Chu envisioned a story of Elephant Man’s journeying into space, where perhaps biases are shed. -“I've always felt that fashion lacks empathy; after all, we are all merely human...”

The look consists of an asymmetrical pleated coat, a tactical vest, and a detachable face mask, with details inspired by SOKOL space suit. The fabric utilizes the Nylon Metal and cotton provided by STONE ISLAND, Acid dyed into black and coral pink.
